Ron and the Big 4-0!

Leah put together a surprise b-day party for Ron! He turns the big 4-0 in August. Since he will be in Italy for his actual birthday, we decided to throw him a party in July! Friends and family came from near and far to celebrate with Ron! What a great day...good times indeed!

4th of July

The whole Shrum fam was back together again to celebrate the 4th of July. Everyone made the drive to Bellingham, where we BBQ'd, opened belated b-day gifts, walked to the park and played games. Needless to say we were all happy to celebrate all those good times!

Here is the entire crew. I think Rowan and Bill weren't all that interested in getting a picture taken.

Then it was off to the Roselli house for some firework fun!But, before we left, Kevin needed to finish Dennis' Sharpie tattoo.Dennis and Kevin heart sparklers!

The Shrums Come to Bellingham...Tricia Too!

Tricia and the Shrum crew made the drive north to the City of Subdued Excitement...Bellingham, Washington! Our first stop was lunch at LaFiamma. Yum! One of the best places in town! FYI...they also have really cool chairs, which Payton and Bailey really liked!
Next stop...school. Rick, Machen and the girls got the 25 cent tour of my school. We also broke out the double dutch ropes, danced and had a great time!
Payton and Bailey even got to meet Miley Cyrus. OMG! They were speechless!

Future teachers perhaps?

A trip is never complete until we make a stop at Target. (The Shrum Family loves Target.) Payton, Machen and I got some new sandals...so cute! Payton sure has good taste! Machen and Payton sporting the new sandals on the streets of Bellingham.
Our final stop was another local restaurant, Taco Lobo. Again, yum! Not too sure what to say about this pic. They are cool and stuff!

An Edmonds Kind of Day!

Here are some of the good times we had in Edmonds this weekend. The sun was shining and boy, was it beautiful! ENJOY!

Since Payton had volleyball practice, she was not able to join us during our excursion Edmonds. She was deeply missed, but on our minds! We love to give her a bad time for never being around for "family time". What a great sport she is!
